ecological commitment

You and I are now tree sponsors. Congratulations.
It's important to me not to support a project overseas, but right here locally. I looked around and came across deinBaum.

THE PROJECT - DEINBAUM

Bild Baumdeinbaum was created to do something about the lack of old trees in our forests.

Although trees can grow very old, they are unfortunately felled before they reach this age. For example, a beech tree that can live to be 300 years old is ‘harvested’ at the age of 100.

As a result, there are practically only young trees in the forest. Tree species that are economically insignificant, such as poplars or willows, are also very rare due to cultivation.

Through the tree sponsorships, we want to preserve old and rare trees so that they can go through the whole process of growing up, growing old and dying. This benefits biodiversity and a healthy forest.

Old trees provide a habitat for countless creatures and are therefore invaluable for the forest ecosystem. Through tree sponsorships, deinbaum enables old trees to be preserved in commercial forests away from nature reserves.

deinbaum sees itself as part of sustainable and considerate forest management in Switzerland.
